After several years of extensive research, Caudill Sprouting, LLC is offering validated Safety Seed™ to sprout growers. This technology shows promise of allowing us to rebuild our industry. Our Safety Seed ™ has been tested by an outside lab and shown to reduce pathogenic bacteria on seed by an average of 3 log, which is a 99.9% reduction. We are currently working toward further reductions, to make our products even safer.
Commercial “Green Leaf” seed is available to our customers now. It has not been treated with any new chemical, irradiation, or GMO; we simply optimized the killing power of heat, humidity, and other standard processes.
Disclaimer:Although this Safety Seed™ is another step in reducing the risk of pathogens in the commercial seed, it may still possibly contain potentially harmful microbial contaminants, including Salmonella or E. Coli. Caudill Sprouting strongly recommends following the FDA Guidance for the industry.
An independent microbiological laboratory tests all of our seeds for E.coli EHEC, E. coli O157, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella spp., and Shigella spp.
All seed is stored in a food grade warehouse and all organic seed is accompanied with a certificate.
